PROCESS ATMOSPHERES

In many thermal processes, the atmosphere inside the furnace or process chamber must be carefully controlled. This can be to promote or prevent chemical reactions such as oxidation and reduction, or to prevent defects in the final product. We can deliver these atmospheres for both batch and continuous in-line systems.

With over 3000 systems delivered, we have extensive experience of delivering controlled-atmosphere thermal systems. And we have the in-house computational fluid dynamics capabilities to model heat transfer, gas flow and chemical reactions within your process. So you can control the atmosphere with confidence.

  • Atmosphere types
  • Normal air
  • Clean air (better than Class 100)
  • Vacuum
  • Inert gases to prevent reactions
    。Nitrogen, argon
。Less than or equal to 10 ppm O2
  • Reactive gases
。 Carbon monoxide, hydrogen, chlorine, sulfur and or selenium containing atmospheres
TRANSPORT PRINCIPLES

With over 3000 systems delivered in the glass, displays, electronics and solar industries, we understand the challenges of moving all kinds of substrates through your oven and factory. We offer solutions based on various material transport principles including:

  • Rollers
  • (Mesh) belts
  • Walking beams
  • Moving (rotating) furnaces
PROCESS DEFINITION

Based on our in-house expertise, we can define thermal processes for virtually any application. We also invest heavily in R&D to develop entirely new process types, often in cooperation with external partners.

These partners include leading universities and research institutions such as PVcomB Germany, SERIS Singapore, Solliance Netherlands and Holst Institute the Netherlands, active in numerous programs related to solar energy.

Programms involved:

– OPV Drying processes

– ALD Ultra thin layer deposition using “spacial ALD”

– CIGS Crystallisation of absorber material. Isitu mesurement

CFD

Expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a vital element in our ability to develop customized thermal processes. We use state-of-the-art CFD software tools from Fluent to model the physical and chemical behavior of our processes.

When combined with our in-house expertise, the use of these tools speeds the development of our tailor-made solutions and helps us ensure optimal efficiency of our processes.

The software is particularly suitable to the processes involved in thin-film solar cell production. It enables us to model deposition, evaporation and chemical reactions. From these, we can conduct detailed analyses of heat transfers, gas flows, turbulence, and deposition and diffusion rates.

REMOTE DIAGNOSTICS

Our tailor-made ovens require little maintenance. Once installed, they operate with minimal servicing. They are also equipped with remote diagnostics systems, so we can provide rapid support wherever you are located in the world.

If there is a technical problem or you need help to fine-tune a process that is in operation, we can simply dial-in over the internet and evaluate your system’s status and performance. Based on that our specialists can advice on corrective measures and optimizations.

TOTAL PROJECT SUPPORT

We combine customized thermal process solutions with complete project management to provide a turnkey service. As our customer, you will be assigned a dedicated project manager as your key point of contact with us.

Your project manager takes personal responsibility for your project, from design and pre-engineering through building, pre-acceptance and pre-installation right up to the point where your system is fully operational. He will work with you to ensure every stage goes smoothly, according to your technical requirements and business deadlines.
